1. Who we are

Hollywood Academy ("we," "us," "our") operates this website and the application process available on it. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site or apply to the Academy, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

2. Information we collect

When you fill out an application on this site, we collect:

• Identity and contact details: full name, email address, phone number, city/country, age range
• How you heard about us
• Craft-specific details for the path you select (e.g. experience level, languages, notable productions, portfolio notes, height and look for acting applicants)
• Background details: years of experience, current status, past productions or roles
• Your stated goals and ambitions for applying

We do not ask for payment information, government ID numbers, or sensitive personal data (such as health or religious information) through this application form, and you should not include any in the free-text fields.

3. How your application data is used and stored while you fill it out

As you move through the application steps, your answers are saved temporarily in your own browser's local storage — this is what lets you go back and forth between steps without losing your progress. This data stays on your device and is not sent anywhere until you press "Submit Application." Closing your browser or clearing your browsing data will erase it.

4. What happens when you submit

When you submit your application, your answers are sent to our application inbox by email, using a third-party email delivery service (Resend) to process and deliver that message. If our system cannot process your submission for any reason, your device's own email app may open instead with your application pre-filled, so you can send it directly — in that case the information travels through your personal email provider rather than our system.

We use the information you submit to review your application, verify your eligibility for the path you selected, and contact you (by email, WhatsApp, or phone) about the outcome or to request more information.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with:

• Resend, our email delivery provider, solely to transmit your application to us and to send you a confirmation email
• Academy staff directly involved in reviewing applications
• Authorities, if required by law

6. How long we keep it

We retain application data for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate your application and, if accepted, to administer your enrollment. If you are not accepted, we keep your application on file for a limited period in case a suitable opportunity opens up, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your application data
• Withdraw your application

8. Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only browser storage it uses is the local, on-device storage described in Section 3, which is used strictly to remember your progress through the application form.

9. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Academy grows or as our tools change. We'll update the effective date above when we do.
